  We provide sober living homes that are safe and have a sober environment. As a person goes through life they may find themselves in any number of unacceptable situations. Sometimes the unacceptable situation is just a lack of money, being abused, drug related or other types of problems. Many times it is very difficult to escape the situation with out a safe, low cost sober environment home to live in. If there are children involved it becomes even more difficult to find a suitable safe, sober environment home to live in. If the person remains in the unacceptable situation too long the situation may become even more unacceptable. The person may loose their transportation, job, credit standing, family, friends, or just about everything. If there are children involved the parents may loose their children to child protective services or other undesirable developments may take place. Many times the children do not do well when this happens.  Sometimes the parents can not recover from a situation that developed with out some type of home that provides a sober, safe, low cost place to live and recover. They may need time to improve their income or improve other unacceptable situations. There are times when the only safety net that can help is a low cost, safe, sober environment home where they can recover from their situation.

    We provide the homes for people to recover from any number of situations that have devastated or started to devastate their lives and the lives of others. All the people that help with the every day operations in the homes are volunteers.  All the volunteers that help run the homes live in the homes now or have lived in one of the homes before. All the volunteers changed their lives by living in one of the homes and in turn will provide you with the same chance to change your life. There are many names that are used in the addiction recovery related world. It is difficult to find the right names that describe what you need. It is even more difficult to find the correct place that will address the addiction problem. There are many opinions relating to what is necessary to start the recovery process. There are even more opinions relating to what steps are required for the recovery to continue. Alcohol or drug addiction recovery dominates the recovery world in the United States. There are also hundreds of other addictions that are just as destructive. There have been many books written and sold pertaining to the addiction recovery process.  Many doctors have provided their opinions on the subject. Many people with very little education have also provided their opinions on the subject. Many disagree and some agree on what is needed to address addictive problems. One thing that is for sure, the highly educated and the not so educated can have devastating addictive problems. No walk of life is removed from the problem. It can be our spouse, our child, our parent, our neighbor, our coworker or any other person in our life.  

    Sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery homes are and have been the back bone of recover for many years. The first step of drug or alcohol recovery is for the person to accept they need help. Many times a person will move into a sober living home, rehab home or a recovery home before they are ready to accept they need help. Sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery homes come in many types. Some of the sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery sober living homes accept females only. Some sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery sober living homes only accept men. Some sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery sober living homes accept adults with children. Some sober living homes and recovery sober living homes require thirty days or more sober time before a person can be accepted. Detox facilities are where a person goes for the first few day of not using drugs or alcohol. Detox facilities do not permit adults to have their children with them as they detox. There is another step for many people called sober transitional living. Sober transitional living homes are considered longer term than sober living homes, rehab homes or recovery homes. Sober transitional sober living homes also come in many types. Some sober transitional living homes accept females (women) only. Some sober transitional living homes accept males (men) only. Some sober transitional homes accept both male (men) and female (women) and considered coed homes. Some sober transitional homes accept mothers (women) with children. Some sober transitional living homes accept fathers (men) with children. Some sober transitional living homes accept couples with children. Many times a mother, father or couple that have their children with them can not find a sober living home, rehab home or recovery sober living home that will accept the children. Any sober living home or recovery home that takes children will have a much higher operating cost. The added cost for having children in a sober living home is the space the children take up, the added cost for the utilities used and the added insurance costs. Some sober living homes, rehab homes and recovery homes that do accept the children will charge more for the children to live with the mother, father or couple. Most of the sober living homes, rehab homes or rehab facilities and recovery sober living homes limit the time a person can stay in the home. Some times the stay in a sober living home, rehab home, rehab facilities or recovery home is limited to thirty days. Some times it is limited to sixty days. Some times it is limited to ninety days. How do we do it?
A team of volunteers working together make it work. Many of our volunteers are previous residents that had lost everything.  Some had given up hope that anything would change for the better in their lives. Some had lost everything. Some were battered, some were homeless, some had lost their children and some had lost contact with their family and real friends. By living in one of the homes, it permitted them to change their lives for the better and they did!

What is included for people living in the home?
All the homes have free wireless internet, free utilities, free home phone, free cable and lots of free food. Everyone living in the home has full kitchen and living room privileges. All the homes and rooms are fully furnished. Some of the homes have swimming pools and spa. Some of the homes have wonderful views. All the homes have in the home washer and dryers. All the homes are with in a few miles of California beaches and shopping centers.  

Who are we?
We are all volunteers that have lived or now live in one of the homes. We are a group of compassionate, hard-working volunteers that work together to help other people so they may also have a chance to put their lives back together. 

How does a person enter the home?
Simple, just make a phone call to one of the phone numbers listed on the home page. Or call ( 714 ) 786-8050. The person you contact will talk to you and arrange for a meeting with one of the home leaders . The home leader will review what your needs are and then show you the home. There are not any added  deposits required.

Where are the homes located?
The homes are located in the North, South and central parts of Orange County, California and also in Texas.  All the homes are located in very safe and clean neighborhoods. Most of the homes are located close to shopping centers and bus stops. The homes in California are all located with in a few miles of California beaches. The homes in Texas are located in central Texas.

Is there a time limit on how long a person can stay?
We will never ask some one to leave because they stayed too long. Most of the people stay for a long time. There have been residents that lived in the homes for more than eight years. When there are children involved it becomes especially important for the parent to remain in a stable home.

Do we take in adults with children?
Yes. Children are an asset to the homes. The children living in the homes add to what makes each home a great home.

Do we take in couples?
Yes. We take in couples with children and without children.

Do we take in women?
Yes. We take in women with children and without children.

Do we take in men?
Yes. We take in men with children in all of the homes. We take in men without children in some of the homes.

How do we keep the fees so low?
It is because of the volunteers that donate their time and abilities to keep the homes operating for the other people. The volunteers also have full and part time jobs. Most of the volunteers have families to take care of as well. All of the home leaders are made up of volunteers that live in the home. The volunteers work with government agencies, answer the phones, do interviews,  help the residents and take care of the endless amounts of paper work.

Do I need to be sober to live in the home?
Yes. The people living in the home must remain sober. The homes are sober living homes. The homes soger living homes designed for  family living.
